Changing Lives

We have a long track record and have afforded assistance to several families over a span of more than 10+ years.

We are passionate about changing lives and have accomplished the following over the years:

  • Relocate children with disabilities from living in informal settlements not favourable for people with disability to living in conducive home environments (with running water and electricity) close to specialized healthcare facilities.
  • Being the first in South Africa to facilitate enrolling and integrating of a visually impaired learner from a school for the visually impaired to a mainstream primary school (thus facilitating inclusion), with her achieving straight A’s – in grade 11.
  • Arrange for a disabled child with a severely dislocated hip, suffering excruciating pain and resulting weak peri-anal care, to undergo surgery and receive continuous therapy which significantly improved the level of pain experienced.
  • Arrange medical intervention for a patient who suffered from severe uncontrolled epileptic seizures to not having epileptic seizures in more than 2 years and again qualifying to drive.
  • Assisted a mother who walked more than 4 kilometers a day with her disabled child to school, to secure a driver’s license, a vehicle and a facilitator at school, again to ensure ongoing inclusion in a mainstream school.
  • Secure specialized wheelchairs (seating devices) for children with disabilities who were previously seated in either inappropriate wheelchairs or who had no access to a wheelchair.
  • Secure AAC devices (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices and appropriate training for non-verbal children who can now communicate their needs.
  • Arrange medical intervention for severely malnourished disabled children including PEG insertion and appropriate diet adjustments, negating the impact of brain and growth stunting and enabling engaging with their families and environments.
  •  Assist with securing and maintaining of prosthetic devices for amputees.
  • Assist adults with brain injuries who had become desolate / suffered from severe drug addiction to now living in assisted living environments and even holding employment.
